Ghost and Paranormal Activities

My misses went to see a psychic in a house in Norris Green a few years ago with her sister and he told her stuff that he could not have known.
My dad who she never met was present and the psychic named me and my dad and told her she had never met him .The Psychic wasn't to know he was even dead.
He also told her that she would be seriously ill next year but would survive it, she had a massive heart attack but survived it. There was other stuff as well which he could not of guessed.
This fella would only see women though which I thought was strange but apparently he had problems with fellas kicking off when they didn't like what they were told.

It's mad you say that really.

My mum had gone back to Liverpool and was staying in the same area she grew up. The woman said to her "that Priest died that night, the one you snuck out to go and see give the sermon. He died peacefully and he wants you to know he has always looked out for you".

My mum told me the back story, that as a little girl, she snuck out one evening to go to church (she really liked going to church, I know odd kid right) and she had this vivid memory of a Priest she was close to not being able to give the sermon as he was unwell. She said to me she always wondered what happened to him as he never showed up again.

She hadn't even told me this story her own son, so I have no idea how this person would have known this. She'd almost forgotten the story herself. Really bizarre.

Good well be something as simple as that.

Have you never been somewhere that feels a bit 'different'? (standby for a load is Lisbon jokes)

Erm. Not really no to be honest. I’ve been in some places that make me feel uneasy but it’s likely a combination of factors/tiredness/previous stresses rather than ghosts, I’d say.

Like several others here, I have no firm position on the existence of spirits/ghosts.

I do however tend to lean on the side of they 'probably exist' as I belive you can feel different energies in different places. (I don't mean Park End Negativity) I'm not sure if that energy comes from the Earth itself or spirits of the departed, so far it's pretty hard to offer conclusive proof either way. If it was the earth and it's local geology, that may be easier to explain with different mineral composition etc, the spirit theory is probably more related to faith in the possibility. (though if there are wandering spirits, does that suggest that there is no afterlife, and it's the disgruntled ones mooching around?)

If things 'move' at home I generally put it down to my forgetfulness. I haven't ever seen anything move, or experienced a door/cupboard inexplicably open.

One thing I do agree in is the sensitivity of animals. A sixth sense that we have slowly lost over thousands of years as we have learnt new skills? My cats will occasionally "fluff up" and hiss in a defensive stance whilst looking at an apparently empty space, only to settle down again after a few seconds. One of my dogs (the Rott who hardly ever leaves my side) was following me from my bedroom earlier this summer and I made it a few steps down the stairs ahead of him. As he got to the top of the stairs he let out a startled yelp and retreated back around the corner. I called him and he just managed to peep around the corner at me and started whimpering with genuine fear in his eyes. I went back up the stairs to encourage him, tried to manhandle him a little and he just collapsed to the floor shaking in fear. I went to a small sofa I have on the landing and he joined me there. A few minutes later I went to the stairs, he crept behind, peeped around the corner and skipped on ahead of me. Whatever stopped him last time was no longer there. Can't explain it at all.

As with the existence of a God/Creator, Until we get conclusive proof either way of ghosts/spirits etc it's just easier to keep an open mind. Don't ridicule the believers and don't argue with the disbelievers.

Ps..... If you're worried about it, why don't you bring the cat to your house for the duration? Obvs she'd need to stay indoors incase she wanders off in a new environment but you'd be at ease. (plus it saves schlepping back and forth)
Whatever is at my mom definitely exist. I just finished chatting with my mom and she said yesterday whatever is there organized and stock up all her face creams from the biggest to the smallest one on top of each other. It drives my mom crazy finding these changes to her things. Are manifestations like that one that are a regular occurrence at her house.

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought of bringing the cat to our house but I'm afraid my cat won't get along with my mom's cat who still less than a year old while my cat is 8 and he thinks he is the king of the house lol

You can't just dismiss these people can you mate .The problem is that a lot of them are charletons but not all of them.

Do you have the sense of an entity or just a source of energy?

When did it worsen? On the appearance of your brother? What was the attitude towards whatever you could feel before things went downhill? Has the nature of it changed or is it a worsening of what was always there?

If you believe in literal ghosts or not, the best advice is to make friends with them as they won't have any reason to disturb you once you've done it.
It is definitely an entity more than just an energy. For what we have found out it seems the old man that was married to the lady that my mom purchased the home died there so we think it may be him.

It has always been there from the very moment my mom moved to the house but it was just sounds and smells until my brother did something to upset it. My older brother is a very intense person and when he moved to my ma's and begin experiencing he began challenging and then things went down hill from there. Bad enough that my brother left my mom's house two months ago and decided that he will never go there again. Now that he is gone my mum has tried a different strategy and instead of fighting it she just been trying to make peace with it by not disturbing with things such a burning sage, which the spirit seem to hate and will get aggressive when they were doing cleansing and prayers. At this moment the entity seems to have calm down but there are days that still does things that unnerve my mom like organizing all her face creams like it did yesterday. I tried to reassure my ma that it is okay as long as it is not bothering her, which it has done before by doing things like touching her which freaks my mom out. Nonetheless, she feels she can live with it anymore. Maybe after she comes back from Europe and the house sits by itself for a month things calm down further and she changes her mind.

My mum was quite taken aback to be fair. She was just bewildered how they knew it. She was like 6 or 7 when the event occurred. I think she just went to see this woman for a laugh, as she thought they're all frauds, and was then given the shock of her life!

There is no rational or logical reason behind the existence of ghosts. I don't believe. Where are all the dinosaur ghosts? Would they eat human ghosts?
Perhaps there is no rational or logical reason behind it but for those in my family that have experienced such force is puzzling having to deal with such entities and not knowing why it is happening and even worse not being able to find a solution without people thinking one is crazy.

Now when it comes to dinosaur ghost I'm glad we don't have to encounter those too, we have enough agony with the human kind ;)

Back in the early 80's I worked at a factory which was supposed to be haunted by a monk. The place was built in an area that was once a monastery. A few people claimed to have seen him in certain parts of the factory, but there was no cctv or anything like it back then. Sadly the factory was due to close down due to relocation to another place in Holland. There was just to be a day shift running in order to keep things ticking over whilst everything was set up for the Dutch takeover. This meant that a couple of us had to go in each morning at 5.00 am & set everything up for the 8.00 am starters. It was late January, so as you can imagine it was pretty dark & cold at that time in morning when my workmate, Keith, & I, entered the factory. We made our entrance through the main warehouse side door before proceeding into the production area. As soon as we got through into the warehouse we heard an audible sound which sounded very much like a man's deep voice. We couldn't quite catch what he was saying but the sound was pretty clear & it followed us right through to the production area. Keith & I kept looking at each other & shrugging our shoulders as we couldn't work out where the voice was coming from. "Sounds like someone left the radio switched on" said Keith, & I nodded in agreement as there was no other explanation. We both approached the main panel which turned on all the lights etc, & even then this male voice still 'mumbled' away all around us. Then the spookiest thing happened. As soon as we started turning on the lights the voice stopped. & even spookier still was that the factory radio was unplugged. We both looked at each other & gave out a nervous laugh that did very little to disguise the fact that we were both bricking it. Needless to say we didn't work too far away from each other & we were more than happy to see the maintenance crew when they started rolling in just before 7 am. Being made redundant is never a nice thing, but I wasn't too sad on this occasion.

A mate of mine, intelligent lad and not one partial to bull poopery told me a story once. He was in hospital a good few years back awaiting surgery on his gammy knee and went onto the balcony to have a snout.
He spotted an elderly lady up and to his right with a grey dressing gown on and a small flower pinned to it over her right breast. Next thing she just kind of zoomed off into nothingness whicvh obviously freaked my mate out a bit.

A nurse came in a while later and he described what he'd seen, apparently her face went ashen and she walked out the room, another nurse followed not long after and explained that the aforementioned nurse had been tending to an elderly woman who matched the exact description and had died not long before.

I have no reason to doubt the lad, I've no experiences of that ilk however my old dear loves it and swears by it, she's had mediums tell her things they have no right to know including one who randomly stopped her in town and told her to make sure my dad kept on eating the fish from the drawer as it was helping him a lot (he's had a triple valve bypass replacement). Had a load of tinned fish in one of the cupboards he was eating religiously.

I'm hardly a full on believer but I like to think there is something there, offers a bit of solice to those who have lost and know they will pass. I don't think there's anything wrong with hope.
