Goalkeeper issues and who solves them?

All keepers make mistakes that's a fact, it's the frequency of them that's the issue
This, and how quickly they recover from the mistake. Southall, Banks, Shilton, Jennings, and Schmichael all made mistakes but didn't let it affect their performance; Gerrard, Wright, and plenty of others go to pieces.

I think the criticism of Olsen is harsh. He made two or three decent saves yesterday, wasn't at fault for the first two - the third he's slipped on his standing foot and made him look stupid, but it's a "one of those" errors instead of one of Pickford's usual where he all but chooses to make the mistake.

I still have some hope Pickford comes good, but with Olsen I just feel a lot more calm when balls are put into the box.

English media love picking out faults on English keepers and building them up or more and more.

Joe hart was world class same as Paul Robinson, neither recovered and they lost there club and international places and I can see the same happening with Jordan. He had a decent run until the Leicester goal.

Last night, Olsen looked nervous. He made 2 great save in the 2nd half to keep us in the game but his kicking was some of the worst I've ever seen. He slipped for the 3rd which was a freak but overall he just looked like needs a run of games.

On Pickford, he is a soft target for the media and I'm surprised that the club and himself haven't tried to get ahead of the story and constant abuse. Carlo taking him out of the fire helped but we could do more.

I think the club will look to make this position a main priority in the summer with Olsen going back to Roma. Ideally we need a club like West Ham, Palace or Leeds to take make him a target.

I noticed his kicking was really poor, especially in the 1st half when he didn’t seem to be able to get it past the 1/2 way line. At that point it needed kicking long for DCL & Richy to chase because nobody else was kicking it in their direction.

I think that we was trying to sign Romero from Utd shows it's an area Ancelotti wants to sort out, I think Olsen was just brought in to push Pickford but has ended up getting more chances as Pickfords head still goes during a game, wouldn't surprise me if a new keeper comes in the summer and Pickford is sold and Olsen goes to number 2 untill Virginia steps up
