Goalkeeper issues and who solves them?

Rui Silva - lad we've been linked with is decent, but might be a bit Joel over here
Donarumma - won't happen
Pope - overrated garbage
Lunin - we've been linked in the past but suspect he's going to be Real's next Casillas
Lopes - we could take advantage of the French league's dire financial state. He's decent, but 30
Livaković - looks decent but plays for Zagreb. Tough to really judge
Romero - could always revisit this but he'll be 34 soon
Gollini - decent shotstopper. Was unconvincing at Villa but improved since. Cheap buyout clause too I think

Replacing Pickford would be fairly easy.

As I say, the problem is getting somebody stupid enough to buy him.

Thought it was Pickford in goal when he went into bit of meltdown flapping at crosses going wide and giving away corners......Don't blame him for any of the goals,3rd one he clearly slipped not helped by DCL defending the header......100% prefer him to the Ritallin Kid.

After right back and right forward getting a goalkeeper is our next priority. If we keep Pickford I want someone to come in who will be a genuine challenge not someone that can just do a decent job of cover. If Romero comes in he needs to be a number 1 contender and not just happy to sit on the bench and be used as rotation.

....be disappointed if we take any option to buy Olsen. The likes of Virginia is not the long-term answer as he simply looks very ordinary so we need to bring in somebody to challenge and hopefully replace Pickford as no1 no1.

It’s a problem the DoF has to solve.

Donnarumma is the big name there - what's he like with the ball at his fee through? For Pickford's misgivings, his distribution is still a class above most in the Premier League.

As has been said before, the attention paid to Pickford's brainfarts unfortunately detracts from his reaction shot stopping, which is exceptional.
