Great start for Tommy F 😀 I normally waste a few quid on him, but haven’t had a bet this week, so maybe it’s his time to win?! There’s alot of good players in the field though, so it’s going to be tough, but I have a good feeling about his chances.
 
Popped down the pub just now; bumped into an old mate, pro golfer, does some tv work these days.

Chat drifted to LIV, he aint a fan. He confirmed the chat about Woods turning down $800m to join it; Rory was $500m.

Mickelson was in hock to various Vegas bookies for $200m. He needed the LIV cash cleared into his account the next day, otherwise kneecaps were history.

I think most everyone around the game knew he jumped ship due to the gambling problem. I think most anyone would be surprised by the magnitude.

Good on Jason Day for finally getting back into the winner's circle. Between his health problems and his mother's cancer, he's been put through the wringer these last few years.

Champions Tour is a massive step down in pay from the PGA Tour. The total purse at the PGA Championship this week is $15M. The purse at the Senior PGA Championship next week is $3.5M.
 

Thrown a £5 e/w on Morikawa and Cam Young for this week.

Done a couple of small each-ways on massive outsiders hoping for a top 12 finish; Adrian Meronk at 190/1 and Patrick Reed at 90/1.
 

Hovland's having a proper go at it. Been saying for a while that he needs to figure out how to putt to win one. Thought he would go off the rails after the putts at the first two, but he settled right down and started making a few.
