Seriously though

A lady stopped me as I was getting into my van last week and asked directions to the nearest hospital as she’s badly burnt her arm… instead of giving directions I offered a lift to the hospital and dropped her off outside A+E. A few days later whilst out with mrs k an elderly lady was struggling with her trolley in the Tesco car park so I went and helped her control the trolley, loaded her bit of shopping into her boot and took her trolley back for her… every little helps !

I like to help mates out who want things fixing, I help set up tech (not computers any more because they don't work the way I think!). There's a fella with cancer in his 80s across the road who's wife has just been admitted into a dementia home, watching his entire life savings sucked away in short order. I visit often and we chat about machines, engineering, cars .... well ... he chats, I rarely get a word in. We buy old machine tools between us and restore them... gets him out from in front of the TV.
I'm happy to dress like a tramp and get all of my clobber from charity shops, so they get regular trade from me.

Walking home a few days ago there was a fella having serious trouble getting his bird into the back of the van, gave her a little nudge and in she tumbled, he seemed grateful, her not so much.

Opened the bathroom window earlier after I got off the bog. Now I'm happy for the rest of the day, safe in the knowledge there will always be a bit of my heart devoted to it.
