….mentioned these before but here goes;

1) I’d been to Aintree on the Thursday and then a few pints afterwards more local. I was well oiled & walking home from the pub. There was on old lady struggling with her wheelie bin, so I took hold of it and put it back up the side of her house. As I walked out the path she said; “But I was putting it out’.

2) Alder Rd/Eaton Rd is a busy junction. I’d walked past it but glanced back to see a woman with a guide dog waiting to cross. I rushed the 50 yards back, took her arm and said I would cross her over. “I’m not blind” she said, “I’m training the dog”.

True stories, I suppose it’s the thought that counts.

Hahahaha similar thing happened to me walking home one morning still absolutely rotten from the night before. Some woman ahead had a hanging basket on the floor and her car door open so I assumed she needed it hanging, terraced house and the bracket came out of the wall so I picked it up and put it on for her then walked off like the hero the world needs. Anyway I hear mumbling behind and the word "weirdo" so I spun round only to see who I assumed to be her daughter taking the one I'd put up back down having just got a brand new one out the car. I just shouted back something like "You can't win these days" I do remember them actively looking like they were quite terrified by the whole scenario.

"What on earth are you doing?"
"Dragging you from a burning car!"
"How dare you, it's bloody freezing put me back!"

Best to just leave people to it.
