….mentioned these before but here goes;
1) I’d been to Aintree on the Thursday and then a few pints afterwards more local. I was well oiled & walking home from the pub. There was on old lady struggling with her wheelie bin, so I took hold of it and put it back up the side of her house. As I walked out the path she said; “But I was putting it out’.
2) Alder Rd/Eaton Rd is a busy junction. I’d walked past it but glanced back to see a woman with a guide dog waiting to cross. I rushed the 50 yards back, took her arm and said I would cross her over. “I’m not blind” she said, “I’m training the dog”.
True stories, I suppose it’s the thought that counts.
