i have noticed the swears removal, i reckon its due to tv and radio.

otherwise i hope and expect some real maleavolance to be being broadcast.

I have no need to go to GP to see the grass, it grows in my lawns, back and front thanks to returfing.

The old lady, for that is what she is, is rapidly nearing the end of her days, let her go with dignity, love and affection. The pitch you see holds the ashes of many blues, is the basis of many memories of so many great matches and has seen the feet of the worlds greatest players, Pele himself enjoyed playing there. Soon all that will be gone burried by tarmac and bulldozer, but as long as I, and those like me, survive it will never be forgotten(y)

there will be a memorial or plinthe or something, it cant and wont go unnoted, not even the kopite infested cesspool that is the liverpool county council can allow themselves to lose face by not commemorating a place of such history and such personal place of reflection/commemoration.

(bad words at the end, we have all been to graves for a moment and a chat - i simply cant hit that word at the moment)

we'd miss a trick not projecting the goodison as well as our original home images onto the blank canvases of our new stadium walls.

use the stadium as a canvas to celebrate our success and history, it could really be something.

Most importantly call the new place simply Goodison(y)

id love it, but cant see it, already too much has been made of £15mills worth of naming rights.

maybe we will win the league this year and glaxo smith klein (Boo with a capital B) will sponsor us. another set of shirts i wont buy.

Boo !

what was the station called in Z-cars?

If I remember right ( and we've milked that one today) it was Weatherfield or similar, I might be mixing it with Corrie. The area was always referred to as New Town. Johnny Todd (Z Cars) was one of many sea shanty hits doing the rounds in folk clubs, The Spinners sung it as did Ewan McColl and many others. It is my understanding the GP DJ played it at one match in the early 60's, I will most certainly have been there, and we won, he kept it going as a lucky charm. At that time the [Poor language removed] had started singing 'You'll never [Poor language removed] alone', the kop scenes became MotD opening shots, not to be out done we kept 'Z Cars' which was then a massive TV hit attracting 15/20 mill viewers each week.................. Why I've just typed all that is a mystery, Tescodrome no, Goodison yes and any one wanting to argue can [Poor language removed] off as I'm off to bed.(y)

I thought it was something to do with the actors from the show being invited down to watch a match and so they played the tune in honour of them. Thus the tradition began.

[Poor language removed], maybe we should play the Rocky music now.

P.s Ghost, no one is flying the flag for the Quo.

I mean who would even admit to listening to them.

...and I hate it, I hate it, I hate (la la la la)

Any money needed from naming rights, should be in addition to a real name and temporary solution only. If we need 15 million from naming rights then we sell that over ten years or so.

Don't want a permanent wank name like the Reebok.

New Goodison for me would be a good name. Modern and traditional.

Although The Chang New Goodison is a bit of a mouthful.

I agree with Leon- Goodison for all its flaws has an atmosphere about it. My hairs stand on end whenever I hear Z cars and just being in the stadium gets my blood pumping.

Play Snow patrol as part of the match ambience- HAHAHA!!!! We'd all be slitting our wrists or proposing to the women there.

In regards to the name- New Goodison is as good as any, Goodison has history and I would love the name to go on.

There are some Wanky names for Stadiums:

The Emirates
Walkers
The Reebok

But as part of the Kirkby deal are we not selling the naming rights? God that could be embarrassing- Tesco value Stadium. :(

Z-Cars would remain, but if anyone dares celebrate Status Quo as an inspiring act then I will shoot myself. By Snow Patrol I am looking at modernising the music we play and like it or not, its modern. But obviously I am dealing with people with no musical taste whatsoever. ;)

Dont you mean we ARE selling the naming rights?

Everyone is worried that its gonna be a tesco funded name, but with the controversy surrouding the whole move, do you honestly see the club calling it the Tesco stadium?

How much do we get for naming rights?
