Gordon Lee RIP

He definitely believed in the team over the individual. At the time I didn't like that, as Duncan McKenzie was my favourite player and he didn't like him. However, I believe he had the club's best interests at heart. We were very unlucky under Bingham and Lee not to win a trophy.

If we’d signed Shillon we would definately have won a trophy during this period. His team of Thomas, King, Latchford, Dobson etc was offensively a joy to watch, bit like the toon under Keegan, but to win major honours you need to be strong defensively and have a great keeper which we lacked at the time.
