GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

It just didn't work, at all.

In terms of pure in-ring work it isn't the worst WrestleMania ever or even close, but just the optics and feel of the thing make it right down there as one of the worst.

Also, a complete lack of surprises etc. Just didn't feel "special" at any point.

I don't really watch AEW but whenever I have the time to check up on what they're doing, Chris Jericho is absolutely killing it.
 
Yep it didn't work.... It didn't even look any different to the raws and smackdowns they've done...

Thought Bryan vs Sami had potential, but first 5 minutes in particular, Michael Cole spoke over everything Sami and Bryan were saying, so that sucked the life out of any story or mood they were trying to create..

I laughed when Goldberg walked to the ring... He really didn't give a fk did he...

I wish they'd stop saying "Wrestlemania moment".... Annoys me...

Taker vs AJ, was like a low budget action movie from the 80's that somehow you still find yourself watching if there's nothing else on TV...if its Takers last Mania, what a strange way to go out...

This will be the only Mania I will never rewatch again...

Absolutely agree. Aew are taking advantage of the lack of crowds and creating entertaining stuff. Right now the Jericho hardy storyline is just as good without a crowd than it would have been with it.

Props to Jericho , proving to be one of the best ever in the business. To move company and within 6 months get several catchphrases over so quickly and still prove to be entertaining? Some wrestlers take their whole career to have that lightning strike twice. I was genuinely laughing at that segment, especially with the release the hounds.

It's all proving that grasping what wrestling is and running with it is far better than head in the sand approach the wwe have. Jericho knows he is running a silly storyline , trying to poach a drone into his faction but delivers none the less. Sometimes wrestling has to be silly to entertain, hell orange Cassidy alone is one of the best wrestlers I've seen in years for entertainment value , the point where he doesn't need to win to get over.

Easy pay day for Goldberg, and pretty insulting to the hard working roster....

Was predictably short... Goldberg has 2 moves, and there was no way Strowman would have even entertained a jackhammer attempt, and no way Goldberg could have pulled it off had they tried...

The big shame is they damaged The Fiend gimmick so badly for that....had the Fiend beat Goldberg last month, his match with Cena could be for the title tonight and be the Main Event....Defending his title against Cena could have established Wyatt as a Top Star for future Wrestlemania's.....

But Vince knows best...
