GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Anyone watching Revolution tonight? I haven't really been watching that much recently but I've been so excited for this ppv.
Not getting my hopes up for the new signing but excited anyway

I've bought it, and considering staying up - just be a pain in the arse with work tomorrow. Though, if I don't stay up, it'll be ruined

I'm hoping for Christian

Unless its CM Punk, its another step in the wrong direction...
No interest in seeing someone like Angle continue wrestling...there's already far too many nostalgia acts in that company

It'll probably be tomorrow before I get to watch it but I'm looking forward to AEW Revolution.

The wrestling is always good on AEW shows and my favourite wrestler ever Sting wrestles tonight. He looks in good shape.

The main event will be intriguing. The no rope, barb wire exploding death matches I've seen have always been non events, boring wrestling waiting for the explosion to occur then a quick finish. But the participants in tonight's bout are very talented.

I'd like to see Hikaru Shida retain her title.

Not sure who the Hall of Fame worthy signing will be. I hope it isn't CM Punk it's obvious he fell out of love with the business long ago and has openly mocked fans.

Thought it was an ok PPV. Wasn't the best, wasn't the worst. Had its high points and lows etc.

  • Thought the length was an issue - Page vs Hardy didn't need to go all that long at all. Hangman should have dominated and killed him. I'm starting to become very meh on Hardy getting 'big' matches too.
  • Tag Team battle royale should have been done the same way as the Dynamite one - everyone enters right away and then maybe have 1 team enter after 5 mins like they do with the 'joker' in singles
  • Main event was really good until the ending and my god will that ending live in infamy as something horrible. I can see them spinning it by saying Kenny tricked everyone with a dud bomb, but that makes Kingston look like a geek after a phenomenal face turn
  • Additionally, please get some good production staff.
  • Cinematic match was ace
  • Christian and Ethan Page were expected, but still nice. The latter could do pretty well. His Darby Allen feud on the indies was great.

Similar to last year where the hardy botch out a dampener on the whole show, that final explosion really did ruin the show. Brutal really because moxley and omega had put a lot into it.

Highlight for me was the sting match, that's what the boneyard match should have been. The best cinematic match ever imo purely because they played it straight. No comedy, no shenanigans.

The end of the tag royale was great too but most of the match was just spot spot spot and other people hanging around.

Women's match was mostly good but went about 5 mins too long in an attempt to make them look strong.

The 2 surprises seem to have underwhelmed most people but it was about the level expected. Remember when Matt sydal was the surprise in the casino battle royale? Now his team are the first to get chucked out of the tag royale. Just don't get excited!
