GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Is it just me or does it feel like there is next to no actual challengers for the main belts?

Look at raw and you have rollins / reigns and potentially Jericho as a title contender. Jericho is a bit fresh but will never have a title run properly, the other two are always in the title picture.

smackdown, just seems there isn't anyone to me. Going on who is now number 1 contender, considering the choices they weren't impressive and couldn't see any of them bar miz actually beating AJ for the title. Away from that the only credible one i can see being fresh is Wyatt but he is nowhere near the title picture now. It is hard to imagine some of them like ziggler/ambrose as genuine challengers anymore, plus you technically have elsworth as a title contender right now. Orton would be boring unless they did a wyatt angle to it.

seems this split hasn't really made any top level stars bar Owens, miz should be elevated as he has been one of the best on the smackdown show.

Owens has gone backwards in my opinion... and Rollin.

To a certain degree i agree with Owens, as much as pairing him up with jericho was good for his exposure, it hasn't really set him apart as a champion as much as being part of an ever circling cheat to win basics that seem to follow a lot of champions around now. Plus the owens vs jericho (much like randy vs bray) is then telegraphed by the fans months in advance so it kinda kills any real momentum they can build.

How WWE should have booked Ash edition........Have Bray in a title match with orton as well, do the whole team mates against each other angle. Build the tease up for orton to turn on Wyatt for the whole time, talk about the title being his goal etc. Then in the match have wyatt hit with the styles clash, orton runs in, hits the rko on styles and then stand there before dragging wyatt onto AJ giving him the title. Ultimately the turn from orton on wyatt can then be a title match but it means it swerves the fans massively and establishes the family as genuine top level stable.
 

Really sucks that Ryder injured his knee in the battle royal. Hope it's not serious.

Also love that we don't have to cope with another Ambrose title challenge at the next ppv.

And what happened to Curt Hawkins?

On Hawkins, if ever there was a debut where I thought "You're screwed", it was his debut.... He would have had more chance if they gave him a paedophile gimmick...
 
Find it hard watching Mick Foley promos now..... Apart from the fact it's the same angry coach motivational speech every week, I now just keep waiting for his teeth to fall out again..

True, they didn't really give him much to go with. Would love to see him form a tag team with Ryder again. His biggest issue is probably on the mic. Room for improvement there.

Not a massive fan of his in ring work, but I'm loving Noam Dar as the arrogant Scottish baw bag trying to get it on with Alicia Fox. He's very good at being unlikeable

Also, shout out to Mustafa Ali and Lince Dorado. They had a good little match on 205 Live, and I didn't mind the awful finish as it gives a reason for another match
