GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Not a fan of Jey Uso at all but don’t mind him winning that belt.

They have so many long term champs at the moment it’s fine to hot potato the IC belt for a bit.

Can’t wait for drew Vs punk round three.

Anyone else finish the Mr. McMahon documentary?
I have. Found the beginning interesting as I didn't know much about his childhood but from the second episode on I knew a lot of the stories from having watched documentaries on some of the subjects already so wasn't really as interesting.

Don't know if this needs to go in spoiler tags but just in case
Also they clearly got caught out by the latest allegations. Understandably so but as a result it comes across a bit unfinished.

Watched bits but it feels very bleh if you already know the stories. Plus, they've ignored a LOT of stuff.

Good if you're casual/never known about him in depth, but if you know the ins and outs, wasting your time a bit I think.

BTB and Dark Side have done much better jobs

Yeah, similar to my feelings on it. I did like the 80's/territory days stuff because some of that was new to me. And every now and again he would say something that revealed what a weird sex pest he is, but overall it felt like a puff piece that was lucky not to have dropped before the allegations came out

I fully believe it was set to be this puff piece of "wow, what a man he was and he played the best character ever"

Essentially a bigger budget WWE Network/A&E project

I have watched all 6 episodes, there is nothing in any of them that isn't already out there, disappointingly. Personally I really was hoping to hear about his childhood because his lunatic personality and quirks have all got to be linked back to that. Why wasnt his dad around? Where was his older brother also? What was he like in school? Did he have any friends who remember him today? Apparently he had a stint in army, where supposedly he got into trouble.

Clearly the original idea was a celebratory puff-piece and that still shines through, even though the makers have tried to be more balanced. The only time I remember him being challenged on any of his utter BS is when it's pointed out that WCW only did to him what he did to all the territories. Other than that it's just him making an arse of himself with his total lack of self-awareness.

Yeah I just finished watching

There were some interesting stuff and I love rewatching some of the clips from the attitude era which is the era I grew up watching

Didn’t know some of the early stuff about his abusive step father and not meeting his dad until he was 12 which he said was never spoken about which is a bit strange. Also didn’t know he bought out his dad always thought it was just passed onto him.

I knew quite a lot about some of the stuff that happened behind the scenes like with triple h after the clique incident and him no longer being in the running for king of the ring. One thing I did forget was that Brett knocked out vince McMahon after the screwjob.

I always thought Steph resigning was a bit weird, the documentary suggests that Steph pushed Vince into retiring and that vince didn’t want to do it and that vince begrudgingly went along with it and when he returned back to the business he pushed Stephanie over the edge causing her to resign. It must have been very difficult for triple h not take any sides during this time with vince being his boss and Stephanie as his wife.

When you see the interview he did with that talk show host about xfl flopping I think you really get to see Vince’s true character. A deplorable human being.

Agree. Watched it all last night. Tried to give Vince the benefit of the doubt.

Incredible business man, no doubt!

But an awful awful human being. He should be in jail.

Just got round to watching Bad Blood. Good card. Enjoyed every match.

Drew vs Punk was a MOTY contender. Think they were trying to make up for 15 years of no blood on the telly. Christ almighty. I should imagine Punk feels a tiny bit bad for clocking Drew quite that hard with the toolbox.
