For the younger fans when we had our standing end behind the goal - the chanting started 1 hour before kick off - wooden floors under the stands the noise was great - what an atmosphere in all the grounds in those days!
Everton Gladwys street's end packed for the 1988 Derby a glorious site! - That end really did suck the ball into the opponent's nets -seat -DOH!
That's just dangerous...Being an Evertonian is summed up by a 4 year old here
Have we ever done that to one of own?
It was never as big as the reds Spion Kop - but it was deceivingly big - that back section used to go right back under the grandstand above - the space in the upper standing crowd is steps down top is a path - the there was the bottom section behind the goal - with the Boys pen caged in the Paddock, and Glawdys street corner - The Kop held 20.000 + but imo it was not as intimidating as it went that high up the player looked like subbuteo size - whereas the Gladwys st end was closer to the pitch till they arched the goal area around the nets as missiles were often flung, It was a brilliant site, and the atmosphere was second to none - most of the staunch supporters took their songs to away grounds the best was imo the Wolves spion open ended Kop which I can not find a photo of in its hey day!
It was bloomin fantastic in there. I loved it. Forgot how packed it used to be.

The whole ground chanted that night do you remember the Grandstands with the wooden floors and the fans up there would stamp there feet on the floor what a noise it made!Mental in there the night we won the title in '70.
Im still looking for Mikey_Fitzgerald !Like a crap game of 'Where's Wally?' trying to spot me there but found me!
I do !All Evertonians should continue to dress like it's the 1980s.
