Some of the Julian and Sandy stuff still cracks me up.

They are all brilliant, try the Navy Lark, some big stars started off in that programme.................Ronnie Barker for one.

I love listening to Count Arthur Strong, when it made the telly it came across being more like the Harry Worth show

That Strong chappy, both on radio and telly, is the most unfunny 'comedian', or whatever nomenclature he wishes to use, that I've ever heard.

Still not funny. Apparently Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Eastenders have also won awards, still poo. I blame corruption in comedy, drama and radio corridors' of power.

I liked Count Arthur Strong on the radio, but didn't transfer to TV very well.

Also, isn't that Rob bloke off The Archers a total arse.

Ahead of it's time and now that camping it up is frowned upon, seemingly behind the times. What a strange world we live in...Says more about the complainer's and naysayer's than it ever did about the artists.
Most people didn't realise that they were poking fun at the vanilla audience, who were laughing at them, laughing at us...or something.

The food programme radio 4 today 12.30 on Charles green who was the cook on the Endurance for Shackleton.
Classic Donald the fact the BBC have now the divine right to put the licence fee up with inflation and reviewing free tv licences for the over 75s in 2020 I think there should be a referendrum on abolishing the formatt of the BBC !
Other than that the radio shows do not need a license now you can listen to the archers for free!

Hold your plums was the best on merseyside!

God I remember that one Joey.

Anything featuring Billy or Wally made me rush for the off switch.

It seemed to me that they were laughing AT people, and not with them.

The endless references to 'charity' 1960's themed nights, and embarrassing parochial 'Olde Liverpool' reminiscences,
to my ears it was like fingernails down a blackboard.
