Hey everyone. Can you locals direct this international to the best local radio stations I can listen to on my Iphone please? Sports talkback etc to keep me informed on Everton.
Much appreciated.

Currently reading at the moment an anthology of ghost stories. Some crackers, and includes authors you don't usually associate with the genre : Graham Greene, Dylan Thomas and Muriel Spark. Also an author called Elizabeth Bowen who is fantastic in evoking the seediness, greyness and the depressing nature of war torn Britain.
I know it's a while ago but can you remember what the book's called? Sounds right up my street.

First series of Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge on tonight on R4 Extra. Some other good programmes on recently, all on the IPlayer :
Harry Lime, where Orson Welles stars in adventures of the ne'er do well's early life.
Lost Horizon, the adventures in Shangri La
The Day of the Triffids

The Complete Smiley. Dramatisation of John Le Carre's first Smiley novel - Call For The Dead. On R4 Extra today.

The excellent series Voices of the First World War returns. On Radio 4 all this week. In the 15 minute programmes we hear from people involved in the War. This week the subjects covered this week are :
Verdun
Jutland
Conscientious Objectors
The Somme : Sunrise to zero hour
The Somme : Going over the top

If the previous series are anything to go by, well worth a listen.
