It's 'Mars Week' next week on BBC radio. Tomorrow afternoon on R4 is the first of a two part drama of War of the Worlds. In the evening a a programme discussing how prophetic has been H G Wells' story The Shape of Things to Come. More programmes about Mars next week.

Also on on R3 on Sunday night a period family drama by Liverpool playwright David Pownall. Features Joe McGann and Sue Jenkins.

Listened to a few of the programmes this week, all were interesting.
 

The one with Jarvis Cocker meditating on snow was pretty good. The programmes about the sites in London in The War of the Worlds, and the drama of WOTHW have been the best.
yeah snowbound ! The first series of wireless night was cracking though. Agree , gunner listen to the second part later !
