In the original "Space Invaders" game it wasn't intended for the aliens to move faster as they got closer to the bottom. It was a result of their being less of them for the CPU to process as you killed them off. This speeding up had to be artificially programmed in later versions as processors became faster and more able to render multiple items.

ET The Video Game on the Atari 2600 is reputed to be the worst game ever released. Around 700,000 unsold cartridges were crushed and buried in a landfill in Alamogordo, New Mexico in 1983.
 

Only 1 aviation vessel (aircraft or seaplane carrier) was sunk by enemy action during the First World War - HMS Ben-my-Chree.
She was a converted ferry and still holds the speed record for a steam ship passage from Douglas (IoM) to Liverpool at under 3 hours.

I know this should be for the current affairs forum but which charity is under pressure in the press for events of 2011 again?
