Yeah, the attack on the average person is disingenuous.

Most people drive economical cars in an economical way, and a lot of folk have switched to electric.

Like many people, I recycle as much as possible. It’s not our fault but we’re an easy target.

What about unnecessary flights? Unregulated shipping? Russia and China spewing industrial waste directly into the atmosphere at never before seen levels.

But yeah, it’s our fault for driving really clean running cars.

I did it .... I had a class do it. My footprint, living on a boat and driving a 40 year old classic car, was by far the lowest and below ¼ of the class average ... because I didn't use my car that much where I could avoid it nor, most significantly, fly off on holidays. It's jet flights that are most damaging - yet jet fuel isn't taxed.
