Czech TV has Fatima Rahimi - a Czech/Iranian journalist as one of their pundits. She made the point about how emotionally drained the Iranian players must be from the last few days, not least at reports of threats made by the regime to families and players.

Interesting guest.
Good point.

They turned it around well to be honest - started shellshocked in their first game, but still produced *some* threat and played football.

Should've won by more against Wales.

Very good showing tonight.

God I hope Bellingham doesn't go to the RS...
They won't be able to afford him. Can't see them splashing the £120m or so it'll take, unless he's got some kind of clause in his contract. City will just sign him so nobody else can, just like they did with Philips and Grealish.

Yeah, I mean, it must be a factor in that performance, especially the end, hell of a lot more than tournament progression on their minds I'm sure.

Ramsay, Bale and Allen can wander off into the wilderness for Wales now.

I guess getting to a Euro semi final is a pretty decent international highlight when you consider it's Wales, no disrespect meant at all. After all, England have only been able to go one step further and have won nothing just like Wales.

I just can't see it getting any better for the Welsh though because, especially Bale and Ramsay, two genuinely quality players, are way past it now, and there are absolute no decent replacements in sight and they have a terrible squad of players.

Might be another long, long wait until we see Wales at a World Cup again.
Spent nearly thirty years of my life not expecting wales to get near a tournament.

Getting to three out of the last four tournaments beyond welsh fans’s wildest dream. And 2016 in particular was a summer that’ll stand out in every welsh fan’s memories for a long time.

I hope we can stay competitive and the FAW have a good coaching setup but ultimately we are a very small country and to keep producing players of the caliber of bale and Ramsey is never going to happen. Hopefully we can have a core group of players in the prem and sneak into the odd tournament now and again.
