Super happy for Japan. They did well last WC getting out of a group with Senegal, Poland, Colombia, and seem poised to do it again in another tough group. The first touch on their second goal today made all the difference.

Not for me. They’ll be a mix of nerves with an eye on just avoiding defeat hoping to go into game 3 and qualifying with 4 pointsI think they'll batter Spain if Flick isn't being weird again
The issue Flick has had is that his team's play aggressive and open but don't score enough to get away with it. I mean today the biggest problem even with the silly subs and Sule being at RB was that they didn't score goals on any of the good chances.I was impressed with Flick during his Bayern stint, but feck me, this was load of crap today, worst subs ever
They were a disgrace in Russia imo. I didn't like accepting defeat to advance on a silly yellow cards rule (which should be thrown all the way into the bin due to refereeing inconsistency).Super happy for Japan. Japan looked a good side
Genuinely think there might be some unearthed gems in that J-League that we should be scouting
Flick has utterly failed. Persevering with Müller - who had to be put out to pasture after the last World Cup - and bringing back part-time footballer Mario Götze told you all you needed to know. He'll be easier to sack than Löw was.I thought Flick gonna change that, his Bayern of few years ago was all power and pace, insane pressing and rhythm.
This today was everything but
Don't remember the details, just remember them getting out of the group...what happened, did they get out by having less yellows? They were a disgrace in Russia imo. Missing true ruthless striker (like Lewa was for his Bayern). The issue Flick has had is that his team's play aggressive and open but don't score enough to get away with it. Not a prayer. They play an inferior brand of tiki-taka, and are an Aldi version of the real thing. Spain would hammer them if they had a striker. As it is, they'll crush them 1-0.I think they'll batter Spain if Flick isn't being weird again
Yes, they were level with Senegal on everything and basically stopped playing against Poland to go through with a loss and less yellows. I just thought the way they handled the Poland game was a bit against the spirit of competition.Don't remember the details, just remember them getting out of the group...what happened, did they get out by having less yellows?
Sane is hurt. Also part of the issue.Missing true ruthless striker (like Lewa was for his Bayern).
Maybe they should try with that Moukoko kid flanked with Gnabry and Sane
Bryan Ruiz to score the winnerOviedo & Joel Campbell still playing for the national side![]()
