bollocks mate ...Martinez was poo...one of the worst "managers" (apart from one season when he had the bulk of Moyes's signings) stop making excuses for him. Koeman exacerbated the mess, and as a result we panicked and brought BFS in..

That home game against Palace in his first season was when Martinez lost it. Up until then we were - away derby aside - vibrant, attacking on the counter with pace, direct and effective.

After it we were none of those things (at least domestically) and he retreated into some absurd possession-based rubbish style that drove the players to revolt twice.

Re-writing of history (again). The following season we blitzed some very decent European teams. The first 18 months were an upward trend for us, the last 18 months the players lost it/bottled it...and we still have a handful of the refuseniks stealing cash from the club.
