Haven't even lost it and excuses are already available.

Truly kopites of national football.

The advantage for group G runners-up is very clear, if Brazil top their group and Germany are runners-up as now seems very likely.

You can talk all that "Brazil and Germany have struggled and Mexico have really impressed yada yada", but the thing is Brazil and Germany are better sides than Mexico and Switzerland.

There maybe no easy games, but the draw is looking lopsided and some are genuinely harder than others

I was also stating factually the way the situation is nothing else, certainly no excuses as you seem to think.

Do tell my friendo.

Basically the delegates sent by the president were involved in a row with the players after match payments went missing after they lost to Scotland, players threatened to walk over it until they were allegedly given 3000 Deutsche Marks apiece to continue playing by FIFA or the tournament organisers. The row affected preparations for the game with the former Yugoslavia and they wound up getting hammered 9-0. In response to that the president sent guards to visit the team and threaten them with expulsion from the country if they lost by 4 or more against Brazil. They eventually lost 3-0 but as a result the president cut off all funding for football and using the money instead to bring the Ali/Forman fight to the country. Many of the squad wound up penniless and the country as a whole suffered for decades due to the president's wrecklessness

great fight though

If England and Belgium draw, will they toss a coin or sommat to decide who tops the group, given they are both currently sitting on a GD of 8-2?
