Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

I disagree here. Pochettino has taken Spurs to regular top 4 positions so why couldn't Pep do that with us? Also I reckon Bielsa is a decent indication of how Pep's style would look in the Championship.

Poch could take us to top 4. However he also started managing lower and mid-tier clubs. Poch has managed to make due w/ having to start the equivalent of Theo Walcott on some of his clubs. Pep has always plugged holes w/ money. Not knocking Pep, that's a skill too. You have to convince guys to come and play for you (ManU is all PLEASE TAKE OUR MONEY these days). Also a ton of these guys make obscene amounts and have nothing to lose by causing a stink. Not too many managers could convince a guy like Mahrez to come and park his behind on the bench, just in case someday we need you.

Could Pep take us to the top 4, eh probably not, could he even do what say Neil Warnock does and have consistent success in the championship w/ mid-tier championship payrolls, uh probably, but dunno. He's never managed anything but world class players his whole management career (on the flip side watching Warnock try to manage Man City would be great comedy and should happen once all the RS players get poached).

However when you have a where everybody is making 100K+/week and who's B-team could probably finish 3-4th its more managing egos and getting the players to fall in line. And no one is better at it than Pep is. The players know he has the backing of management and if they cause a stink, management is backing the manager. If Arteta took over that club tomorrow, they wouldn't play any different. However someone like Arteta probably doesn't have to ability to prevent a team mutiny when a couple players get disgruntled as they'll know Arteta would be on thin ice the 1st day he takes over.
He did manage Barcelona reserves in a third or second tier.

He did manage Barcelona reserves in a third or second tier.

They were effectively bottom of the 4th division - teenagers amongst veterans, yet won them promotion in his first season. Gems like Pedro & Busquets were unheralded players at the time and Pep took them with him to the first team after gaining promotion into the 3rd division

I mean, isn't it obvious he wants to win everywhere? EPL, Bundesliga, La Liga, Italy next. "Of course Im the best manager of all time, I've won everywhere I've been(ignoring that he's only been to massive budget clubs)"

Serie A is unlikely IMO. A NT is the only box left to tick for him before returning to coach at La Masia or run the academy

The ban probably won’t be for next year and then the lawyers will get into it. Either way one year won’t make a difference to players etc. It will also mean no distraction from the league for City that year.

A lot of the accusations coming from the NY times which of course the second largest stakeholder in........Liverpool football club.

Apparently they sold their stake years ago. It wouldn't be the first time that Fenway have tried to have us over though. Some of our backroom staff went to Liverpool and took confidential information with them, scouting reports, training reports etc. Big stink about it at the time with City adamant that confidential files had been stolen by the now employees of Liverpool fc. Some of our medical staff have also recently left to go to Liverpool.
Fenway may have bitten off more than they can chew. If there is truth in the stories that Fenway also secretly own Roma(one Roma official called the match between Liverpool and Roma a Boston derby). Roma chairman Thomas R. DiBenedetto is also a partner in Fenway.

However much we call it the Champions League, it's not a league, it's a cup competition. And, as in all cup competitions, a bad day or even a bad minute and you're out. Sometimes the best team in Europe wins the CL. However, very often they don't.

It's not though is it?

It's a mishmash of both that again gives the 'big' clubs as much opportunity as possible to progress to the final. A cup competition would have seen the rs out of it already. It's just a UEFA money making machine that is more and more like a closed shop. I doubt I will live to see the likes of a Watford win the thing (not that I'd want to mind you).
