Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

would wonder if the players / board and management team all know that Pep is leaving at the end of the season. There seems to be a real lack of drive and energy all around the place.

Think the problem with Pep is that he doesnt know how to coach defensively. He really relies on his team having so much possession and wearing down the opposition, that his defenders arnt forced to do much defending. You cant score if you dont have the ball.

Problem with that is some of these City players are not as good on the ball as some of his players at Bayern and Barca. He is now just buying good defenders and putting them in there hoping that the problem fixes itself but they need coaching.

So people rate Guardiola as this great manager perhaps the best in the world but what defines a great manager.
Should a manager who is managing Barcelona with the best team in the world win the league and champions league... yes. he won the champions league twice with barcelona out of four attempts, he won the league 3 times out of 4. Is Luis Enrique a great manager too? or does he just managing a great team?
Should a manager with Bayern Munich win the champions league, a team who in his era there perhaps the best in the world.... yes, he didnt win it. He won the bundesliga 3 times but hardly surprising when he signed all their rivals best players from them, eg Lewandowski and Gotze.
My main point being, he failed at Bayern Munich, the league was a gimme for the them but ultimately the champions league he didnt even reach a final.
As for the premier league when did a team last win the league playing Barca esque style football? I dont think its been done. Look what that style did to Everton last season. Then compare Leicester's effective counter attack style.
For me Guardiola has done what has been expected of him as a whole on his career and certainly is no elite manager. His style will be found out and I expect him be struggling next season. I cant understand the hype and odds suggest Man City are huge favourites to win the league... not for me.

All that money and he’s got a 17 year old kid as his only fit striking option. I think Pep is just a masochist, he wants to win by suffering the most to prove he’s a genius farther than just going out buying top players, playing them in their right positions and running away with it again.
Narcissistic Masochism (NM)is a weird one. Dominatrixes/femdoms find them difficult clients due to the psychological paradox. They will usually charge extra to ‘administer’ to an NM...as much as double the standard rate ( or so I have read...) . Mistresses rarely form close psychological attachments to subs with NM...and perhaps the reason Pep is looking a little gloomy is because his mistress might have left Manchester and he has to travel a long way to see her

He seems to have lost that edge, almost like Mourinho.

I mean, he can't help having injuries, nor can he prevent three braindead penalties being given away.

But not sure what he's up to. He knows Koulibaly fixes his defence, yet they're signing all sorts of lower quality. Persists with Gabriel Jesus, when they're crying out for another striker of the Aguero ilk.

The excuses today that Leicester didn't play "football", is laughable. They absolutely torched them on the counter and played an excellent game.

Can anyone really see City improving from last season, this time round?
Nah... they'll still be too good for most...most days.
But with the Kompanys, Silvas etc etc gone or going, true 100pts class will be hard to repeat...even with Sterling those days will be fewer
City 20-21 could be EFC 70-71
Poor replacements, failing coach, steady decline.
Needs a total rethink...and some luck

Anyone else think that getting rid of Otamendi was a bad idea? Not so much for the defensive aspect but more that he seemed to be Aguero's best mate and keeping him happy should be a priority. Especially as the documentary shows he lives on his own in Manchester and his family are all in Argentina.

Always going to be a massive rebuild needed there with Kompany and Silva gone, Fernandinho and Aguero past it. They won't win the league for a year or 2 regardless of the manager IMHO

Not sure why they’ve bought Ruben Diaz either. They could afford anyone in world football if they wanted it. They should be putting bids in for Varane Kimpembe Upemacano Koulibaly. Instead Pep seems intent on buying players most people haven’t heard of. What happened to the City that brought in Tevez Aguero Silva Yaya Toure Dzeko in order to make a statement? Pep is treating them as some sort of vanity project now. ‘Watch me buy a load of players no one has heard of, play them all out of position, and still win because I’m so good’

Wow! The number of PMs I have received regarding further information around the murky and often lurid world of Femdom is quite eye-opening. Quite a few GOTers are evidently, hmmm, how to put this discreetly...let's just say, there are a large number of GOTers who are 'curious' about the subject. To be clear, I am no expert. Yes, I have had the odd girlfriend who had hankerings in the field, but nothing too intense...it wasn't as if i was constantly have to shout out "Uncle" or anything. And i am totally speculating as to whether Pep's mistress has moved to Hamburg...but it is a possibility. He does come across as somewhat gloomy and that presentiment often indicates a mistress has changed address.
