Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

They really are a fantastic side but I really don't care much for their style of football, they are so dominant that it just makes the match boring as a spectacle.
Everyone was raving about Peps Barcelona but it was the same with them, I just used to turn the match off in the end as their is no competitive edge.
The faults not with them though, it's with everyone else not keeping up.

I'm not being a smart alec or anything. Any team that you play needs a plan to make you competitive against them, otherwise what's the point.

I suppose you could counter that if you set up in a way to beat them then there's a good chance people would complain about you doing so and suggest you were "killing football", like how people did when Mourinho's Inter knocked out Guardiola's Barca from the Champions League

Sometimes defensive play is required to beat the best teams, but the sentiment always seems to be that doing so is wrong

It's almost as if you're supposed to just submit and go into damage limitation, and anything more is sullying the sport

That's a big reason why I never really liked that Barcelona side. It was almost as if they and their supporters were offended at any side that didn't just roll over and allow themselves to get pumped

Absolutely cruising to the league here with Aguero out and barely conceding goals, Still don't know why they signed Ake for that much but they've quietly gone about there stuff while all the focus is on Liverpool and Pickford.

That is true. A very fair point actually.

But Barca fans now have to deal with Moonhead, so whose having the last laugh now! lol lol lol

Did you think the same about Liverpool last season when they were so dominant? (genuine question). Just playing hoofball up to their front 3.
Not exactly a style of football I would want my club to play. I can tell you watching City live, in the flesh is completely different. It is at times
just amazing. The understanding the team has for each other is a joy to watch. I guess it depends what type of style that entertains you (or me).
Maybe I'm more of purist. Hoofball is not for me.

Have been lucky enough to watch city a few times over the last few years live, and, they are a joy to watch, but I was quite surprised at the reaction of quite a lot of fans around me, getting very restless with the lack of action within the game, moaning about the constant passing. Poor Zinchenko was given dogs abuse, although I thought he played well.

Its having skin in the game innit?
Yeah there’s something in that, (don’t have as you say skin in the game,) but love watching good teams playing great football Fergie’s great Utd sides, Pep’s Barca teams and today’s city team, and funnily enough I’ve enjoyed watching Fulham lately, except for the [Poor language removed] I’ll watch all good teams.

City fans are a notoriously critical set of fans. Always have been.
Always need to have a whipping boy and it was Zinchenko for a while.
Even when we were total dross with the likes of Jamie Pollock & Ged Brannan
playing for us one particular player always took the brunt of it from the fans. In the old
division three we had a player called Jeff Whitley playing at fullback for us and
my god he used to get it both barrels every single week. To his eternal credit he
stepped up in the penalty shoot out against Gillingham in the play off final and
stuck it right in the top corner! Maybe it happens at other clubs? But it has
always been pronounced at City.

personally think that’s the best side I’ve ever seen play the game

I hate bus parking, but when it came to that side I always looked at it like the ultimate compliment from your peers. They all set up in a way that said, you are ten times better than us so there’s no way we are coming out to play. We will sit happily here in our own final third and hope for something to fall for us when we boot it forward. I mean the biggest clubs around all did it. Ferguson basically admitted they were massively inferior in the way they set up in those finals.

I did actually, I really dislike the way Liverpool play, as I said earlier City are an amazing team but it destroys the game as a spectacle.
2 teams that can actually attack each other rather than defence against attack is much more enjoyable for the neutral surely.
City have become so dominant now that it's just too 1 sided.

You’re not telling me that you would not watch Everton if we played football like Barca or City, are you.
Well of course not, that's totally different, I'm saying watching a football match that involves city is not great to watch due to their dominance.
I'd rather watch Leeds v Villa go at each other than say City V Arsenal

They are great to watch going forward but I don't think their central defence is that good under pressure. Stones can stroll about but he's no Bobby Moore and there's a mistake in him as we know.

Let's face it. The reason we love watching City is because they're sticking it to Liverpool.
