Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

I mean…

DeBruyne off, Mahrez off…

There’s over confidence and there’s stupidity. Real Madrid have done nothing but go at you in this seasons CL, in the closing stages.

You run the real risk of messing up, and he did, by having only sterling left as fresh legs.

Credit to them, but that has to be on Pep.

Bizarre how he overthinks in the CL, in the PL he's supreme.

It's got to be the pressure to win #1 and it clouds his judgement and thinking, he's going to pass £1 billion spending in his 6th season and still no CL to show for it.

Bizarre also that they play a RB at LB and their back up LB is a attacking midfielder in Zinchenko, and also spending £100 million on a umpteeth midfielder in the squad and not getting a striker in.

No CL unless he had Messi in his team. Took over reigning European champions Bayern from the great Jupp Heynckes and reduced them to semi-final also-rans against three Spanish sides and then pitched up at the richest club in the world only to "overthink" it continuously.

Given all his unlimited resources, Guardiola has failed at the very top level of the game where he must be truly judged. "A genius". My arse.

Just shows these supposedly intellectual managers with their philosophies like Guardiola and Martinez, and clownshoes Rodgers with his dossier on football will always come unstuck Vs the philosophy of winning games whatever it takes.

He was 3 minutes away from the final again and bar some extraordinary luck/magic pixie dust would have gotten them there. The man has won everything around the sun and he still gets questioned because of something flukey like this? Nah. He’s still the best there is.
Don't think anyone's doubting his credentials as far as being a top class manager goes, it's more that asterix that goes against his name when it comes to the fact that he's never won The Champions League without Messi in his side. Given the massive advantages he's had when he's taken over one of Europe's elite clubs, he could, & should, be doing better. They were strong favourites to beat Chelsea last year in the final, but Tuchel's side kept them at arm's length for most of that match. There was no 'magic pixie dust' needed then.
