Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

I don't see how it will be seen as a disaster

They won the League and the Milk Cup

That's a good haul no matter who you are

That being said, it doesn't make them the best side ever

They're an excellent team, but they haven't surpassed Ferguson's United yet

Citizens desires to get everyone to say different surprises me to be honest. It comes across as insecurity on their part

Jeez Mikey, showing your age there. Haven’t heard that in a while

Yaya - who knows? After the season he's had, no one has a good word to say about him.

I'd say Pep would be an awkward chap to get on the wrong side of and possibly a vindictive sort.

But what do I know?

I take most things the birthday cake boy says with more than a touch of scepticism, a whole lorry load of it actually.

Even though City were completely dominant in the Premier League without Toure in the side, winning the Premier League with a record number of points and goals, Toure remains adamant that there was no reason for him to be left out of the starting XI???

Despite being slower and past his best he pulls out the easy and powerful racism card to try and get his own back and stigmatize Guardiola?

Guardiola’s preferred choice of formation also only required one holding midfielder, with the role mainly filled by the consistently impressive Brazilian, Fernandinho.

It's so easy to pick a million holes in his self pitying playing the victim nonsense that its not worth the effort.

Yaya is a self centred egotist who rates himself extremely highly even when past his best. His outspoken nonsense and outlandish claims are legendary, both from himself and his even more ludicrous agent.

Any material coming from these sources should provide ample source material to comedians everywhere

No surprise, shameful that people seem to want to defame toures character rather than discuss issue, I'm a bit disappointed in all honesty

As far as I can see the only issue to discuss is the horrific route Yaya Toure has gone down to damage Guardiola's character.

Yaya Toure is a notorious gobshite, a petulant one at that.

if a player or his agent has plenty of past form for putting himself on a pedestal, acting entirely in a selfish, unreasonable and self centred manner, talking self promoting nonsense and attacking any perceived obstacle whether manager or club, then its can't be that surprising that when he speaks, people raise eyebrows.

I'm not dismissing racism or any other serious issue by not taking what such a player says that seriously, the player has form and perhaps should look at himself, his agent and their past behaviour to see the reasons why.

Racism should be investigated but it is unfortunately a powerful weapon that can be badly misused all too easily, and in the wrong hands can be liberally bandied around and used to wrongly stigmatize and hurt almost any person that's in the way, or that you perceive as your enemy and want to punish.

Should we investigate every single case no matter who says it and what their likely motives are, or at least take some account of their past behaviour and not put a manager through the mill just on the whim of a disgruntled ex-employee with an axe to grind?

If someone has a record of previous ludicrous statements or behaviour then of course it affects people's perception of him and his credibility, testimony in a law court is often given less weight if the witness has a track record of poor reliability or has proven untrustworthy in the past. You can't just ignore this it would be completely wrong and unjustified, a persons past behaviour is almost always a guide to how likely he's speaking the truth.

if he has any evidence or other players supporting this, then his accusations would carry more credibility and that would be a different matter. Where there is evidence then it should be investigated.

it's not and shouldn't be the case that someone who has a well publicised grudge can throw in racism and see his 'enemy' seriously wounded without good grounds, if he has them investigate but not before.

In his pomp he was sublime. He had everything, touch, vision, power and he was one of the best strikers of the ball I've seen. He almost single-handedly dragged us over the line in 2014 to deny Liverpool the title. Then he immediately had a strop because we wouldn't let him leave on the cheap. It's when all that nonsense about birthday cakes came out.
He sulked for the next two years under Pellegrini and clearly wasn't putting any effort in. Everyone thought Pep would piss him off after his first year when he was out of contract, but as the season ended he started to perform again.
Yaya saw the fuss we made over Zabba when he left and he said he wanted to leave the same way. Then he started talking about staying and coaching or in another capacity. Even his agent had shut up.
No one at the club wanted to give him another contract and it was Pep who persuaded the board to extend it for a year. This is how he has been repaid.
I fell out with him after his first strop, especially because he was clearly lying. So this latest strop doesn't really come as a surprise. Just a huge disappointment. The club gave him a proper send off. Awarded him a gold seasoncard for life, named a training pitch after him and unveiled a mosaic of him at the campus.
I think Yaya thinks the City fans will stick by him. He's in for a proper rude awakening the first time he turns up at the Etihad. It's not often we boo our returning players, but he'll get it.
