Today was one of his best performances for us, maybe even of his career. Showed why we spent all of that cash on him.

3 or 4 top class passes creating great chances, generally causing issues in their half and then firing a wonder strike into the top corner.

Probably one of the technically best goals I've ever seen.

A very good, succinct way of summing him up.
It does mean though that you have to build the team to suit such a player.
Up until the last two games I would have had me doubts over whether it was worth pursuing...false dawn fears and all.
But with Bernard and Richarlison looking like they are two genuine pieces to the Sig puzzle - It's the first time in ages I'm feeling genuine hope.

It was more the way both sold a player a dummy, and smashed a winner in a 2 1 win. Like I said, Gylfi's was better, imo.

Watch it on here mate. It wont get worse, and so far, no one has posted a replay version, because I am 100% certain that the angle from behind the goal/player, will be even better.
 
The not surprising thing is when you have a number of decent attacking players the opposition can't focus on stopping just one as that gives more space to others that can equally cause damage. I think with now Bernard on the pitch along with Richarlison and when Walcott is on it we are going to give other teams headaches which is another reason why Sigurdsson looks better this season, with this and the confidence of scoring and there is no reason he can't be part of a really successful Everton team.

Dunno if you remeber but Le tissier scores a ridiculous goal years ago vs blackburn. The shot was very similar imo technique wise , and his turn and quick second touch to put the ball in the perfect postion so he wouldn’t be closed down, was very clever and he knew he was going to do it before he even received the ball imo

Made his strike vs saints look very meh!
 
Can't get my head around that shot, absolutely unsavable and that turn too, knew exactly what he was going to do before he'd even received the ball. Producing the type of quality that we paid for.

Yes I remember that goal. Scored it against his mate Tim Flowers in goal.
Hope this is the start of something for Sigurdsson. Maybe he's freed up more with Bernard and Richarlison. Long may it continue.
