Still don't think he was worth the money however he's certainly proving to be a really good player. The price tag weighed him down a little last season also being played out of position didn't help. This season he has pretty much been played to his strengths and we've reaped the rewards.

I mentioned he was out of position and that didn't help. I think given his age so we are unlikely to get anything back we have over paid but you win some you lose some. I was praising him in my comment your making it sound like I was being critical. However some players would still have had more of an impact last season. I'm just glad he is performing now and the only time I wouldn't play him is to give him a rest whereas last season I wanted him out the team a few times.

I think you will find he is currently one of the most effective players in the league. The fact he cost more than £50 you will have to live with. Keane doing well now also. Last season a management shambles.
