Had a good game against Burnley. Apart from that I personally think he's been for over a month now. Rate the lad highly, needs to step up now tho. Was class before.

Again, if he doesn't score or assist he's labelled as crap and anonymous. And then when he does something, people say "yeah, well apart from scoring the winning goal, what did he do?". This thread probably needs to be locked because it's full of the same posters saying the exact same thing regardless of how the game has gone.

He's not going to run games like a box to box player will, that's not his role. But he's our second top scorer and best assisted, why do people moan? Same as the weirdos moaning that lukaku just scored goals.

We won’t advance as a club unless we find someone that will. It doesn’t necessarily mean Sigurdsson needs to be replaced, but it leads me to wonder if he is a poor fit atm. He won’t be nearly as effective until we sort the striker dilemma out.

Said several times last week we should of rested him, one of our best players this season but he looks worn out, needs a rest. We could of beaten Bourmouth without him, in fact we did.

The problem with Brooks, is that he looks like he should be working on the waltzers at Blackpool, trying to cop for barely legal girls.

We need that player to replace gueye though, laying the ball off to siggy to create. I agree it's what we need, but don't think it should be at the expense of one of our only two goalscorers.

Poor first half. But got better. Looks knackered and in need of a rest. But he always seems to find one killer pass every so often even when he’s playing bad

Problem with Sigurdsson and Gueye is they are both very position specific 10 and 6 respectively. Joe Williams might not be the required standard but is comfortable at both 6 and 8. It gives you more flexibility in the game. The reason Barry and McCarthy worked well together was they both did bits of both jobs and Barkley in front of them could do a little bit of the 8 role. Schneiderlin and McCarthy would probably make a good base for Sigurdsson to work off, however we are not likely to ever see this given a chance.

Poor first half - very poor.

Good in the second half.

If he's playing as a second striker he's key to our press, along with Richarlison.

But, due to his limitations - i.e. no pace - it means his movement has to be better (it wasn't in the first half the other day, for example, good enough) and we also have to make sure we're getting the ball into him more. When he has it, he needs to be better than he was the other day (but usually, and he has been even in his poor run recently, he's very good on the ball).
