2018/19 Gylfi Sigurdsson

Sigurdson is gonna be boss with movement ahead of him. He was already linking up really nicely with Walcott before his injury ended his season (and that was in a team set up not to lose rather than a team set up to win) and now he’s gonna have quality on the left and right of him.

I thought he looked good before being the logical sacrifice against wolves personally, looking forward to seeing him Saturday.

Should certainly be raring to go having only played one half.

Yes. He should be euthanized this afternoon.

Put down the syringe, take a step back and instead of being oh so Everton and finding something to whinge about just because whingeing is a favorite way to spend a life, choose life.

When Gylfi scores a belter at Anfield, you’ll think that you haven’t felt better or been happier since Archie Gemmill scored against Holland in 1978.

He made 5 successful passes against Wolves and went over 10 minutes without a touch twice in 40 minutes.
I'm not sure what the point of this stat is mate.
Are you saying that he doesn't get involved enough?
Because didn't Messi have a game at the WC where he hardly touched it? And noone pointed at him and said "RUN MORE LAAAA"

He still had plenty of time to settle in though Toff.

It’s going to be interesting where Silva fits him in once Bernard is up and running.

Based on everything I've seen of Bernard mate, he'll play as one of the wingers/wide forwards. Maybe he'll occasionally play as the 10 but I don't think he has the ability to play there until we really become a passing team and control games. He's too lightweight.

But yes, it'll be interesting.

On Gylfi, he did play well once settled, though. It took him longer than it should have (for loads of reasons) to get to that point, but by December he had found that consistency and from that point until his injury was a steady 6-7/10 when he played, sometimes better (West Ham home, N'Castle A, Liverpool A, Swansea H)

Apart from a couple of wonder goals, I'm not too sure how much he contributes. He's tidy enough, but he's not a match winner. His dead balls haven't even been that great.

Hopefully he'll prove me wrong now that he has a better manager and players around him.

He put in about 5/6 deliveries I can think of off the top of my head that were absolute sitters that we missed, mate.
