Carlo will definitely have Gylfi in his plans for this season, starting with playing him in his proper role. He has been ruined by Everton, like so may before. It’s just an opinion.
Your entitled to your opinion yes, but come on out of position or wrong tactics we need him to put at shift in week in week out at least and we would all say fair enough. 45m and he hasn't looked arsed ive always wanted him to do well ,boss players drag a team forward and his price tag was meant to be a reflection on that ,sorry can't see anything changing even though I would love it to.

I think you're right that he's part of Carlo's plans - the captaincy speaks volumes.

But I utterly disagree with you that Everton have ruined him. He's basically been exactly what we should have expected based on his entire career prior to us: a player who can score goals and create at times but who never dominates games and who, when not scoring or taking set pieces, offers rather little else and will frustrate the hell out of the gana.

We were fools for expecting anything else.

And his attitude I think
His attitude might be sorted with James, Doucoure and Allan coming in giving him a kick up the arse. It shouldnt take that tho, hes had plenty of opportunity here and hes failed miserably. Last season we had a weak midfield, big test for him to step up but nah. Load of pointing and taking the easy way out when on the ball.

Probably why he left us

Where’s he playing mate? Doesn’t suit 442
And if we sign the players linked, he doesn’t get a look in.
hopefully siting on the bench will make him
Push for a move in January, if we can’t shift him this window

The problem he had playing in a new position under Carlo was adapting to a role that is the most un English in its style of play and was never going to put him in a good light in the eyes of the supporters, that being an attacking midfielder that sits in front of the back four.
A regista as it's known in Italy, think Pirlo under Ancelotti. He's not a defensive midfielder, his job is not to put a tackle in and so because we are not used to that role we say he's lazy. What he does need is two combative mids in front of him to do that job and if they're aren't there then he's exposed and it'll look as bad as it did last season.
If Carlo persists with that idea, wether it's Gylfi or Gomes doing the biz, let's have some faith and give it time, it could turn into something beautiful.

Hope you're right, but with gylfy always hoped he would come good seems to be a nice fella by all accounts but he lost me at Anfield with that fa cup performance. Being nice doesn't make you a winner and that's what were crying out for.
