...not sure we do miss lots of chances, especially this season. I always think how many saves has the opposition keeper made. We had lots of possession on Saturday but I don’t think that equated itself to chances created.

We had 3 shots on target from 70% possession against Sheffield Utd Eggs, We had 65% possession and only 1 shot on target against Aston Villa, 3 shots on target from 65% possession against Crystal Palace, terrible return from all that possession.

What is it with Evertonians festering on the main fella?! Lukaku took it in pelters, as did Fellaini before him.

Woe betide any player Everton sign for a decent fee.

Everton's issue isn't Gylfi Sigurdsson.

But he has genuinely been awful this season and I don't hate the guy. I'm sorry but he should've been benched but he is being allowed to play his way back onto form and its costing the team because the way we set up,if Gylfi doesn't turn up we struggle and he doesn't turn up quite a lot so far this season.

Barkley is a better player. At least we had someone who would try and go past a player. And drag us up the pitch quickly. Siggurdsson never attacks space or the opposition’s back 4. Plays it safe and out to our full backs most of the time.

I did obviously, the next 2yrs the team finished bottom half and he still had better stats than siggurdsson. 15/16 season he got 25 goals and assists in all comps. At 21/22 and only a few of them were set pieces.

Barkley had/has his faults and hasn’t kicked on and won’t ever be the player most of us thought he would be at 19. But he’s better than siggurdsson imo.

His stats are virtually no different to Kevin mirallas’s first 2 seasons at Everton. 25 goals & assists to siggurdsson 26. Siggurdsson played 6 more games and I’d imagine took loads more set pieces. Especially with baines at his peak 2012/2013.

You may think his numbers are good, I don’t and for 45mil we should be getting a lot better.
