I've never once said he's standout or compared him to Rom at the same age. All I've ever said is he is a top striker in his age group and too young to write off yet.

You said he's the 5th best U21 striker in the world . The aurgument I'm making is that if he is football standards have fallen off a cliff in the past 3 years or so If he is considered an Elite striker in his age group.

Last season was a disaster start to finish.
I find it difficult to pass judgement on any player who played in a team that lacked direction and cohesion.
I will say that Sigurdsson never hid and worked very hard for the team even though it would not always be the strongest trait of creative players.

He is being judged more by the fee that was paid for him than the football he played.

Nailed it.

Again I disagree. He was exactly as I said he was, exactly how he was for Swansea.

All season we heard "not his fault he is in a poor team" or "being played out of position"

He is a high volume / low quality chance creator who doesn't get involved in build up play.

How do you judge hiding anyway? By amount of involvement in the game? Because he is touching the ball half as much as other players in the same position.

i think he will have a good season next year. We are lot better when he is in the team and he didnt get much off a chance with a proper striker. Hes got a great delivery and scored some really good goals. He needs to push on though and i think he will.

Everybody will have their own idea on how somebody plays, it is very subjective.

I was impressed by the attitude shown by Sigurdsson. He came from a struggling team and expected to be involved in a team fighting for the higher positions in the league. I thought he did well in any game I saw , he scored some good goals, used the ball well and if he had more pace around him in the team his talents could be used better.
No, I don't think he was worth 45m and I don't think he was the kind of player that we needed most, but I think it is the management that must be blamed for those things.
If we do bring some more pace into the team around him I think he can make a big impact next year. I remember the home game to Palace where I thought he was playing really well but not getting used by the others nearly as much as he should, he scored and made a goal from very little service.

Can see Siggy Sigblertson starting wide left if we get a true no10 in. It could be argued its where he's most effective too.
