This for me too. We need big upgrades in the other 6 positions. I think aslong as we upgrade at minimum 4 of those positions and persist with Tosun & Keane for another season if needs be is fine.

I still don’t rate Barkley all that highly, but come on mate. Sigurdsson’s worst period was astonishingly bad. His best period he was merely decent.
I don't think I do expect to high a standard tho... lookman has things that stand out, rashford also, lukaku did , ali is only a year older. DCL doesn't have any special stand out qualities that I can see

This doesn't really make sense. Sigurdsson is injured and got injured just after Coleman came back so by your metrics everybody is better than Sigurdsson as he has not played...
Coleman is our most important player. Sigurdsson has talent obviously but in an Everton shirt he has shown the square root of nothing other than a couple of fancy goals so far.

I'm excited to see him play next season, him and Lookman. Thats what the squad is missing, players that get you excited.
Not even going to pretend any of that made sense.
Coleman as he is now is not as talented a footballer (A.K.A. good) as Sigurdsson is. Simple as that.

I am intrigued as to why you think he is a better player (and OK, its hard to compare different positions). What his Sigurdsson done in an Everton shirt to get such praise? He has been pretty average at very best so far.

I just think he's more talented and adds more to the team offensively which was Coleman's biggest plus. He's obviously pretty solid defensively but that's harder to see if a crap back 4.

I've never once said he's standout or compared him to Rom at the same age. All I've ever said is he is a top striker in his age group and too young to write off yet.
