My personal favorite is how Nigeria have had the ball for the last 2-3 minutes, Iceland can't get it from them , somehow Siggy is crap, and these same people are saying how Gana is crap because he stinks on the ball. It's just comedy.

It's the same thing either way. Running games = possessing the ball.

He was never brought in to do any of that, but hey, Gana stinks because he doesn't score goals.

Siggurdson didn't do a great deal vs a clearly abysmal Argentina. When two truly great midfielders - Rakitic and Modric - played against them, they annihilated them. Sure, Modric is an unfair comparison, but at £45m you'd expect a top class midfielder who dominates and influences the game.

It is a team game like and he plays for Iceland.

Croatia have got quality everywhere, half of Iceland's team play footy as a part-time job.

It’s two extremes mate and an ideological war. People were on their knees for him ready to fellate him when Iceland drew with Argentina. Talk of him “running the game” which was utter nonsense. Now the opposite side have plenty of ammunition for him based on today’s game. The truth is in the middle- he’s a decent premier league footballer. Been disappointing for us and can hopefully offer something more next year. Nothing special though and I struggle to see how some people rate him so highly.

You’re right, you would, but we were the ones stupid enough to pay that much, that’s not his fault. That also doesn’t mean we should beat him down if he’s not living up to his price tag. I think he’ll do a good job for us next season.
