Hangovers

Had a few beers last night but nothing major. Eating slabs of beige, sweet and salty buffet food while drinking evened it all out.

If I've got a stinker though then while stuff like a fry up and hydration can help (if you can stomach it) the only actual cure is time.

They've affected me quite badly through my 30s. I already suffer from headaches/migraines quite frequently so drinking just makes it 10x worse. Simply can't drink as much as I used to because of it - even just a couple hours of back-to-back drinking can set me off.

Fortunately, I've been alright over this Christmas & New Year.

Same here, which is why I hardly drink anymore.

It’s almost impossible to explain how horrible to someone who doesn’t suffer from this.

It’s like you just want to lock the door on the rest of the world until it goes.

I don`t half get grief off my missus over it, as she really likes a drink, especially when her wasters of parents rock up.

The problem is, how do you explain to someone who doesn`t get the " fear " the day after, what it`s like ?

My missus thinks it`s just an excuse to not get pissed.

My wife is understanding. I think she sees the benefit in one of us always being able to drive, but she’s never taken advantage of it (as in abused the fact). And I appreciate that.

It's difficult and weird at the start and you do get munchies, but ,it's the best thing I did

I'm not vegan or ever been dependent on alcohol.
