There isn’t propaganda about Protestants though bar idiots on social media. SF and SDLP have for decades recognised the need for for people to come together. The Unionist Parties have been a disgrace in perpetuating the enemy at the gate in denial of population change.

Can’t see an English win myself. Although I would take it for 3 points for Everton.

Back in 1998 I gave my mate Steve's mother (lives in Belvoir Park E Belfast) a loan of a book on 1798 in Antrim - loads of great reads published that year for the bicentenary..

She took it away with her on holidays and when she came back I asked her what she thought. Her reply....

"The first Fenians were Prods!! " lol

I'm from Limerick. There's loads of ignorance about middle-of-the-road Protestants in the Republic. The DUP are headbangers. They paint a picture of extremism that taints moderate Protestants in the eyes of the bar-stoolers you refer to. Sadly, there are lots of those.

The DUP are now an embarrassment in the eyes of many Unionists in NI - from peaks of 30.1% and 30% of the total vote in the Assembly elections in 2007 and 2011, they are at 21.33% in 2022 - this from 28.1% in 2017.

Yet this 21.33% is holding the rest of the province to ransom and refusing to allow the institutions to work.

Crackpot backwoodsmen.

It's quite something that they've actually managed to make Sinn Fein look reasonable.

Agree with this.

Actually don’t think it registers for the DUP that there are Protestants South of the Border.

Reminds me of being in the French Quarter on New Years Eve before the Sugar Bowl.
There wasn’t enough liquor in all of New Orleans to make that bearable

Ironically, The Auld Dubliner is where the old Dublin ESC used to meet in the early 80s. It was an old fashioned spit and sawdust working man's pub in what was then a dingy Temple Bar area. We met in a small back room.

I wouldn't be seen dead in there now.
