Dyche doesn't play young players......get back to the U21s Harrison and take Dixon with you.
Some harsh views in here.
17 year old lad coming into a weakened version of a crisis team.
….great these kids are getting an opportunity, not forgetting the regular game time Iroegbunam has and how Garner and Branthwaite established themselves last season.
Of course he's out of his depth, is my point.….i think we have to manage expectations. The reality is he must be much the best we have, so is clearly a very talented lad but he looked a bit out of his depth to me.
The experience will have been great and he’ll have his time, no doubt about that.
Hadn't realised he was only 17 based on his stature! Looked a way off football wise but hopefully that's a positive learning experience for the boy. Can only imagine when you get a sniff of the first team it must give you a liftA good experience for a seventeen year old but difficult for a young lad to do well in a struggling team.
The stereotype baffles me when you look at the younger developing players been used during this managers tenure.
Cant remember another manager who has done it.
Real positive last night and bodes well.
On Harrison, he must be hugely rated to get the nod at 17.
box to boxWhat kind of midfielder is he? Is he attacking minded, deep and sitting in front of defenders or box to box?
Considering our tactics is to avoid the midfield as much as possible, it's very hard to gauge if he played badly or not
I think if we had a more experienced centre midfield player alongside Armstrong he would have benefitted from that.….exactly that. Harrison looked a bit lost but he must be very talented to even be involved. His time will hopefully come. Branthwaite talks very favourably about how Dyche has helped his development.
I like Dixon, he’s not scared of being involved. Attitude and athleticism are plentiful, he’s raw but I think he has a chance.
