2024/25 Harrison Armstrong

….a few nice touches but still looks a bit short of being ready for this level. Dyche clearly running out of alternatives.

He lives opposite my 96 year old mother-in-law and Mrs Eggs said she saw him this morning coming out of his house and getting in his car. I thought he must be injured to have not travelled but then there he is on the telly coming on. Wtf I said, I thought it was me with the dodgy eyes.

Based on today's evidence, that assessment could be made of every other outfield player.

I was surprised that Dyche brought him on at half time , it was actually a positive move to make at that stage. Playing him in his best position at 10 gave him a chance to settle in a bit but he can play 8 and. 6 too and showed this when Beto came on, Gana went off and he dropped back alongside Doucoure . I liked the way he was competitive too, both on the ground and in the air going up for balls he was not going to win but up there competing for it. He will have learnt a lot today, and it appears that Dyche trusts him to follow his instructions so hopefully he gets a start or at least more minutes on the pitch against Peterborough.

Thought he done okay Eggs if I'm honest, showed a bit of composure, ran with the ball and passed it well when he had the chance. Compare him to Doucoure, who again stank the gaffe out and yet finished the game.

Incredibly surprising. I'd hope Dyche genuinely thought he was an option and it wasn't a case of using him to make a point to the recruitment team.

Would definitely prefer to see him against Peterborough over either Doucore or Gana. Or Mangala for that matter.

Surely he's too young - he did more than Doucs .....

They will never be ready if they never play.

Thought the lad did ok meself, deserves more minutes.

He probably only got on because of injuries, or mangala and lindstrom told Dyche to feck off.

….some of Doucoure’s touches in possession today were depressingly poor but what he does without the ball is sadly enough for him to play. Doucoure is one of 4 in that midfield today who is not contracted to be here next season. What an absolute mess for a team that needs its players to die for the cause.

His name I bet is the first on the team sheet along with our 39-year-old full back who looked OK until Dyche pulled a master-stroke converting him to a winger ???? Surely Patterson should have played in front of Young - Dyche is taking the P......

I'd have him starting over Doucoure in that 10 role now.

We do of course have Chermiti who probably suits that 2nd striker role and McNeil who is Dyche's child.

But Armstrong should be the 10 for Peterborough and then it should be determined whether he remains the 10 or competes with Gana / Mangala.

Not sure any team needs this to be honest.

McNeil back to the 10 for me. We actually had a slight goal threat when he was playing there.
I’d have Gana and Tim (when fit) behind. N’diaye left and please god a new right winger.
