Has Moyes got His favorite Players

will be interesting to see if Moyes lets Barkley into the RM slot this year and if so does Coleman go to No2 as hinted preseason and played against DC? If so then wherfore hibbo and Neville?

Cahill, Neville, Anichebe. Hard to say otherwise, our squad is that thin that the same players get picked all the time anyway.

Oh definitely. But its too his credit the lad will give everything and never complain no matter what job he is asked to do.

Yup, and I think that's what Moyes refers to, players like Osman and Hibbert being the 'Bricks and Mortar' of the club. He can always rely on them.

Unfortunately, Osmans best position is pretty much Cahill's best position so he's always going to be 2nd fiddle. (I also think it's Bilyaletdinov best position, but we have fat chance of seeing him play there for the same reason)

Cahill, Neville, Arteta. All day erry day.

Whenever these 3 are fit they always play. Fellaini is starting to force his way into that group too I think, if he's not injured or suspended he's playing too.

Anichebe though, you look at him right, physically, and you just think he's going to bulldoze through people, and he's going to be a handful in the air, and he's just not. He done well when he first started playing for the first team but since I think it's gone downhill badly - even worse since that horror tackle from Kevin Nolan at St James'.

Lets be honest are squad is that thin that the team picks itself bar a couple of places

Ive said it before but vic and vaughan were meant to be good mates. How could vic watch the adulation and appreciation given to his mate for his attitude and effort and not think, 'Now thats what i need to do.' If he ran himself into the ground he would get a standing ovation. I dont know what he's doing in training and i trust moyes but something has to change.

Of course everyone has favourites, that's not illegal for a manager to have. It's hard to tell who is his favourite though, but i guess we can sometimes tell from how he picks the team. If a player gets the nod to start despite the obvious fact that other players are more suited, i guess we can consider those favourites. Like when Yak was dropped last fall.

S we have Distin - cause we have no other leftie CB in the squad. Arteta and Cahill are the Moyesian permanent fixtures. Howard has played something over 200 games in a row. And then there's Anichebe.

i think the cup final will be one time moyes will say he got it wrong, if he ever writes a book. Hibbert and Osman were clearly not fit but he played them in scorching heat. On the other hand they are the longest serving players and put themselves through all kinds for the cause, so probably deserved their place. Tricky one
