Hating every managerial name put forward

I don’t think it’s the time to bring someone new in, if we got rid of Benny after the derby then fair enough. Games are running out and I don’t think this team are good enough to take on the tactics of another new guy.
Benítez should have went after derby ideally but I do believe if we had just got that win and stem the tide we would have been able to stabilise to midtable mediocrity then hopefully replace him in the summer. I think that's what the board were counting on. Now we're in no man's land.

Have you noticed?

No matter who's name is touted - a thread appears ripping him to shreds.

The problem is, people will always disagree with the name that YOU think should take over - and that basically means that no matter what happens YOU will not back the new man.

** You is the generic term to apply to every possible solution ** ;) :coffee:
I think it’s more akin to pure frustration with how the club is being run from a strategic level.

If people could sort of see what the club were trying to do then you would see a more balanced approach.

When you have Moshiri and a big bowl of names in front of him, and he chooses one at random with the help of snake oil salesman friend, it adds to pure uncertainty.

The issue is not the manager, it’s the owner and the running of the club.

For me it's more when I think of the criteria required for the role, none of the appointments made during the Moshiri era have actually been suited to that role. Others may feel the same which is why people are hating on them, I mean with FSW that was just never going to work simply down to his rigid style of play and the current squad of players not being suited towards it.

I don’t think that’s true, in all my years as an Evertonian, the only manager you wasn’t universally backed from day one has been Benitez. Even Allardyce was given a fair crack once he was in charge with people saying ‘actually with Bolton team occasionally played a bit and had Jay Jay Okocha’

I’m not excited by any of these names being put forward and there are a few that I actively don’t want but whoever is put in charge as long as we’re not planning on bringing Dalglish and Souness out of retirement will have my backing

There is no magic bullet, you could pick any one from 50, they've all got faults...but one might just get lucky.
Then Bill, Mosh or whoever on a given day, after a game of Red light Green light gets to sit in the driver's seat has to get lucky and actually pick the one.
I'd sod off all the johnny foreigner flavours of the day - go for total kickass and toss a coin on Dyche or Rooney.
We're not going to Tika taka, possession our way out of this.
Controlled Aggression, effort, a little nouse, skill and some luck
It might be Bills turn to pick, but Moshiri likes an exotic name and could over rule him

There's no manager that could miraculously sort this team out. I am behind any manager who firstly stops the rot, and then builds a clear defensive system that the players can make work. Then they have to show that they can push past that and risk being more progressive. For example Allardyce did the defensive bit and then that was it, but Ancelotti I could see was doing just that which is why I'd give Ancelotti time and not fat Scam. Benitez did neither.

Whoever comes in will have my backing (and most fans) unless they're utterly detestable due to their history like Benitez. And they will keep on getting it whilst they are managing what they have under their disposal to gain the best results possible.

Getting us out the mire should be more than doable. If was a hungry manager from outside the Euro Scab clubs, I'd be tempted to come here and show what I was about.

His name sounds like a cheap battery make lol

I'm just going to echo what most have already written, we are caught up in a maelstrom of information /disinformation, and a list of names that while sounding sexy haven't achieved anything like what we need right now to grab those points needed to stay up. The more I hear about some of these characters the less I think about supporting the club. It's like a relationship that has gone bad, and while I don't condone those idiots who take their feeling to the extreme, I can sort of sympathise. I 'm apt to say just leave it with Dunc if he can't get the team firing on any cylinders at all then nobody can. Any new manager coming in simply will not see the magnitude of the problem until its too late. Its about the only thing Benny said that I actually agree with.

Getting the team to fire on all cylinders seems to be the only thing that Duncan is capable of, Saturday was eye bleeding stuff and it’s not going to be enough, especially if Everton keep leaking goals from set pieces. Conceding the ball and then just lumping it forward was exactly what Benitez was doing (except for Hull away where he tried to morph Michael Keane into prime beckenbauer) it hasn’t worked all season unless a player steps up and produces a worldie out of nothing. Duncan should not be an option now, Everton need coaching expertise and a plan to get points, his second audition was shocking.
