No. The whole ground chanting the name of a player yesterday because he runs around.

Good attitude, terrible footballer. A symptom of what is wrong with this club.

Participation trophy player.
runs around which pressures the defenders which causes mistakes and leads to goals, He's done it numerous times.

Yes he has won me over, He'll run through a brick wall for the sake of it, Obviously can score given the chance. Not the most technical of players but sometimes having a good runner like him is very vital.

When Niasse signed, Martinez said he needed time to slowly adjust to the league and be ready for the following season. He was of course dropped then sent to Hull where he scored and assisted a few, most notably against the RS.

Martinez took a huge amount of stick and a large amount of posters were really negative about Niasse.

In your opinion, where would we have been this season without Niasse's cameos and where would we have been if he had started every game up to when we signed Tosun?
Won me over at start of season when I saw him against Spurs in U23 & then in League Cup. We’d have had more points if he’d have played every game. Without him we’d be bottom half I think. I actually think he adds more than Tosun to be honest but it’s nice to have both of them.

Can't say I necessarily disagree with any of that, but as I can't see anything changing for the forseeable future, seeing someone actually showing desire to pay for our jersey is like a breath of fresh air.

Oh how our standards have slipped

Its hard to not like him when you see him come on and the team instantly is better. Definitely changed my mind because his first couple of appearances he was practically falling over the ball.

Anybody that doesnt rate him now is just clueless, saying he just runs around a lot is clueless, and doesnt see the good stuff he does to get into space, create chances, and make the team better. His strike rate is not an accident. Probably the same people thing DCL is just a great striker right now, despite his inability to....strike.

A terrible footballer who runs around, amidst a gaggle of terrible footballers who dont run around? He’ll do for me!

Let's think of it this way. Niasse for 13.5m or Bolasie for 27.5m, who has made the bigger impact pound for pound?

Just off the top of my head, Niasse won us the three points at home v Bournemouth, and had a big impact in the win at home v Watford. Without that, we'd have been bottom of the league after the 1-4 v Southampton.

I'm sure Everton GOT history will bracket him alongside the likes of Stracqualursi as a "trier", but Niasse deserves much, much better.

There's plenty of good footballers. There's no chemistry or plan though combined with a terrible manager and some terrible players in key areas.

Niasse is a comedy player who is being accepted because the club is in a rough patch. We're chanting a player's name for running more than other players whilst the other lot have the best front three in Europe.

Did well elsewhere. Came here, was never given a chance so the waffle heads amongst us read into that that he must be turd and rounded on him for every error.
Confidence is a vital factor in sport.
An enthusiastic footballer might read these forums, and have their confidence destroyed.
He must have tremendous resilience.

Harsh. For a comedy player he's scored 11 PL goals in a season and a half for Hull and Everton, having started a majority of those games on the bench.

Got to be the most constantly lucky player I have ever seen. When he goes round a player it's like watching the 18th hole in the Happy Gilmore movie.

But then, you make your own luck. As others as have said, can't fault his work rate. Deserves recognition from the crowd and gets it. :)
