I have stopped giving the club the benefit of the doubt mate, because they haven't shown anything to deserve it imo. Brands, Moshiri (who has pumped good money after bad), Kenwright. The stadium is separate, they seem to have their house in order. From a footballing perspective, I think we need a clear out top to bottom.
They didn't always want Benitez. Benitez was available but they also interviewed Nuno (as would be the case), sounded out Potter. I'm not saying this is all bad, btw, it's good to assess options and of course have a process.
But there were something like 40 candidates thrown into the air by all the board members in the week Carlo left. Those 40 candidates all playing in a variety of ways, some preferring rigid systems, some preferring to be more flexible etc.
Look at Brentford. Smith got them so far, and then left, but they went and hired Thomas Frank because he fit into what they wanted to build. We do it the other way around, because we have no idea what we want to build and 3 years in none of us actually know what our DoF actually does in terms of setting a system and structure in place, which is meant to be the whole point of them.
