Very welcome to the forum mate
If you’re near Salgado try the restaurant A Sardinha it’s a lovely beech with a lovely restaurant Thank me laterNot a problem, mate. I'm not great with this forum stuff either. We went with our daughter and grandson which means we had to stick to somewhere that serves burgers/pizza (feel a little ashamed admitting that but needs must) when eating out which, although were lovely, would hardly be recommendations for dining out.
The year before we stayed near Salgados and are going back there again this year. Usually eat at nearby bars/cafés. Cheap and cheerful. Never had a bad meal anywhere tbh though I'm easily pleased after a Super Bock or two.![]()
Not being a fan of West Ham I really didn't feel I had the right to comment on match threads or other parts of the Forum.
Pineapple on pizza yes or no.Hi Evertonians. My wife and I retired to the Algarve 7 years ago. I'm originally from the same part of the world as David Moyes and have followed his career since way back in his Preston days. I cannot lay claim to being a true blue (I never ever managed to get to Goodison during David's first spell at the club). This is the first time I have ever joined any fan forum at any of the football clubs David's managed. I did follow his tenure at West Ham quite closely through the 'Knees Up Mother Brown' (KUMB) forum so know quite a bit about his popularity through that medium - but never felt inclined to join or participate. Not being a fan of West Ham I really didn't feel I had the right to comment on match threads or other parts of the Forum. David latterly did have a thread dedicated to thanking him for his service and wishing him well for the future. However there was a toxic few Forum members who (for unknown reasons) didn't like David and demanded the thread be closed - in fact this eventually happened only a few weeks ago when a moderator (who disliked David on the grounds of his 'slap' comment to a female TV reporter during his Sunderland tenure) took great satisfaction in shutting the site down .......probably due to all the good wishes posted following David's early successes at Everton.
West Ham does have a lot of decent fans who wish David and Everton every success - but not at their club's expense. I therefore wish them well too, but with limited success.
Can't think of anything more I can add at the moment, but I'm quite happy to answer any queries that Forum members might have about me. I am not a David Moyes stalker or anything like that, I just think that there are very few British football managers quite like him going around anymore.
