I've tried to start pronouncing certain words in scouse though. Like "It's time to go to weeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaark". Or "she's a good looking gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayrl"

I imagine tje avaerage American couldn't distinguish between Yorkshire and Lancashire accent and tbh a lot of the time I can't. In the same way most English wouldn't notice the difference between Georgia, Alabama, Tenessee, mississippi etc. I know I can't but only hear what is generally known as a Southern accent.

The study of accents is fascinating though.there is definitely a difference in accent between some from North Carolina for instance and Mississippi.

I've gotten good at sushi games the northern English accents. The West Country is dead easy. But much of the southern England sounds indistinguishable to me. I couldn't say if there's a Kent accent and how that would differ from a Sussex accent for instance. Yet in the north Liverpool and Manchester are like 45 minutes apart and they're absolutely distinct as is the Yorkshire accent 45 minutes southeast from Manchester.
