'Stony' doesn't have a very high opinion of us either, i'm gutted

Lol.
That lad lives in his own little universe.
Probably never been to a City game in his life, but loves to be the keyboard warrior.

To Stony.......

Your team is a bunch of unlikeable whores now. That being said if you knock the Liverpoo out of 4th place I'll forgive you.

Hi Everton fans,

I just wanted to get all your views on the Lescott move, I've read lots of comments on here saying he joined us only for the money which I partly disagree with.

I think Lescott was motivated by the high ambition at City and he wanted to be part of it. Not saying the money didn't come into the frame at any point but my opinion is that it was mainly the ambition and the good times ahead at City.

Views please...

It's always going to be difficult to tell what the motivation was but none of us here could honestly say, hand on heart, that we would not want to do the same. Let's face it, if Joleon had stayed and got a career-ending injury in a year's time he would be financially a lot worse off than had he moved. OK, he was on good money anyway but 28 is a bit young to be retiring even on that money.

Now it's all over I wish Joleon luck (but not necessarily City, let's not go overboard!) and I'm sure the money you paid - a lot more than he's worth in my opinion, even in today's climate but it shows what a canny managerwe have - will just serve to strengthen our squad and put us firmly back into the top six again this season and top four next. Just like Man Utd we are slow starters in the league but, unlike Villa, we are progressing in Europe (y)

If you will notice, only two posters in that thread have actually been there since before the money came.
I'm pretty sure that the ratio over the whole forum has indeed shifted that way, where the actual lifetime fans are now far outnumbered by people who decided to quit supporting club A and now supporting a club with money.
All for authenticity eh.

Bandwagon fans - see Blackburn 1995, Cheski 1998 onwards, I suspect most of this new breed are disgruntled Stockport county, Oldham Athletic, Bury or even Bolton Wanderers fans looking for some shiny shiny - IMO any club who parades their very modest 3 championships in the form of golden stars on the club badge has a serious inferiority complex (y)

All the money in the world will never get them out of Man Utd's shadow, there may be a trophy here and there ( carling cup etc ) but nothing lasts forever, remember to be kind and respectful to others on your way up because odds are that you'll meet them on the way down... borderline Geordies.( and i wouldn't wish that on anyone ! )

What if an arabian club signs all City's big star player to loan them back?

I guess that the Platini's plan will go down the drain.
