Nope, just banished him to the U23s.Why hasn't Allardyce called out the FA publically over this? Holgate is being let down by the club.
This is where it all strays into tin foil hat territory for me. He hasn't gone AWOL at all. In the 5 games since it happened he's started 2 of them. In the 5 before it happened he started 3. He's only played in half of our PL games this season as it is, and since it happened we've got Coleman back and signed Mangala. He's been dropped because he's a 21 year old centre half who has only ever actually looked any good in that position for about 4 games, and in the last 3 games that he's played has given away a penalty, been ragged all over the gaff by Rondon for 90 minutes, and been part of a defence that got embarrassed by Spurs. The idea that it's all a big conspiracy is just weird.Technically the FA punished John Terry over a similar incident whilst simultaneously an actual criminal court found him not guilty. My point? The FA haven’t a clue what they’re doing. Despite terry being cleared the FA conducted their own investigation and found him guilty of racist abuse. No fan of John Terry but nobody can deny that it’s a bit bizarre for the FA to essentially place their authority higher than that of a criminal court!
All conspiracy theories aside, if there’s something to this Firmino will be punished. The FA won’t let a serious racist allegation come to nothing if there’s evidence for it. Still think it’s strange how we’ve handled this ourselves though. Bong and Evra both made their allegations public forcing the FA to really act. We haven’t done anything and Holgate has basically gone AWOL since this incident.
From a RS viewpoint I do wonder if they would have been far more active in the transfer market if they anticipated a ban for firmino. It could be of course that they’re just keeping a low profile and hoping this will fade away, but if Firmino has said something I’m sure Klopp would have known about it straight away and would have adjusted his plans accordingly.

Different burden of proof. One will be beyond all reasonable doubt and the other balance of probability.Technically the FA punished John Terry over a similar incident whilst simultaneously an actual criminal court found him not guilty. I should've read on. Everyone has beat me to this.Different burden of proof. One will be beyond all reasonable doubt and the other balance of probability.
But yes the FA are shambolic.
Missing the point completely. So if Firminho should have been banned without a hearing does that mean we can go back in the F.A cup as Jay Rodriguez goals deservedly put us out the cup?
While initially I believed the longer the 'investigation' (I use that term loosely), now I'm more inclined in fact to believe the opposite of this.Am I the only one thinking, Firmino must have a case to answer the longer this has dragged on. Surely if there was nothing in the allegations, they would have been dismissed fairly quickly.
The f.a cup game took place two weeks after the Rodriguez alleged incident. I think the difference in time scale is due to the fact Kenny's head blocks Firminho's mouth and they are trying to enhance any evidence. If players are accused and found not guilty but had been stopped from playing how would that be dealt with?Missing the point completely.
What I'm saying is its not fair for one to take so long and the other to be done so quick based on flimsy evidence.
Call me cynical but could it be that one incident was black on white so taken more seriously? And wasn't his incident after they knocked you out? Either way you're actually backing my point up, if players are accused and found guilty then it's not fair on clubs affected directly by them before the ruling
