Suarez admitted saying what he said to Evra when first questioned and then lied later about when and how many times he said it because Liverpool officials panicked and tried to worm their way out of it. That's why he was found guilty and to this day embarrassingly argues that because he said it in Spanish that it was not offensive.
The "it's allowed where I come from argument" is proposterous. Stoning women to death for cheating is socially acceptable in Iran yet you bring that attitude over here and you'll rightly be punished.
This situation is different because whatever was said was said once in the midst of a ruck. It's one person's word against anothers with no way of confidently working out which one is lying. I doubt anything will happen but why it's dragged on this long is nothing short of pathetic from the FA.
