The only two cases of racist abuse I can remember before this season involved Liverpool and Chelsea - two of the biggest clubs in England.
I am very interested to see what the evidence is in the Rodriguez/Bong case - there must be something because they're surely not going to be charging him unless there's evidence, given how this has panned out.

Yes, you did. I half expected it like everyone else.
Still, the fact remains that the decision has left everything up in the air. "Not enough evidence to charge" leaves a huge question mark over Firmino for the future.
He's going to carry that label around with him because the FA didn't say Holgate was wrong in his claim, just that with the camera positions they had there was no way of confirming Firmino's racial attack on him.
It'll be a stain on Firmino's character forever more. I think he knows that, hence his OTT protest at the inquiry tonight.

It's a stain on the club the way Holgate was marginalised in the last 6 weeks or so. They basically made the FA's mind up for them. They've allowed Liverpool a free hand to humiliate us.
Never ever forgotten this episode.

Freedom of information request to the F.A for any unseen footage could be made. Anyone calling Holgate a liar is a prick. Interesting that the F.A had been able to get all evidence and go through it. My gut feeling is that Holgate something, whether that was racist is the million dollar question. Be interesting to see if Firminho's lawyers look at possible libelling of their client.
